| 7,5mm Nagant was used for revolver m/87. It was in service from 1887 to 1907 when pistol m/07 replaced it. It lived a life after that in the total defence and was used in the local defence until WW2. When it was assigned in 1897 it was regarded as a very weak calibre. We went from a slow 11mm bullet to a quick 7,5mm bullet. The penetrating abilities were considered to be impressive, particularly in wood. |
