8x57IS

8x57IS was used in rifle m/39 from 1939, witch was a German K98K rifle. The 8x57IS is also called 8x57JS, from the German habit of spelling the capital "I" as a "J". The rifle was later rebuilt 1942-43 to use 8x63 ammunition instead. It was also used in Kg m/39 until 1950 then it was rebuilt to use 6,5x55 instead. All 8x57IS ammunition is manufactured in either Germany or Czechoslovakia, no ammunition were manufactured in Sweden.
